Text and sizing

Frame size controls wrapping; alignment controls placement inside it.

Select a text box to choose its sizing mode and typography.

Drag font size, line height or letter spacing horizontally; Shift speeds up adjustments and Alt makes them finer. Click a number to type. While typing, a left drag selects text; use the arrow handle to keep adjusting the value. Line height and letter spacing are available in basic mode too.

ModeBehavior
Auto widthWidth follows the text; manual line breaks remain
Fixed width, auto heightText wraps at the chosen width; height grows
Fixed sizeBoth dimensions stay fixed; overflow is clipped

Left, center and right alignment are separate settings. Horizontal resizing fixes the width; vertical resizing fixes the height. Numeric fields commit on Enter or blur; Escape cancels the draft value.

Choose Text and drag a frame. Releasing the pointer starts editing. Double-click an existing object to edit it; closed shapes also accept text.

In new documents, $x+y$ is inline math and $$…$$ is display math. Removing the delimiters restores plain text. Delimiters are visible in the editor.

Incomplete dollar input remains text. Complete expressions render with MathJax SVG after editing. Historical documents are not automatically upgraded.
