Replace an image while preserving its frame; edit opacity, fit and effects in the inspector.

A dedicated image inspector provides crop, exposure and temperature controls.

Insert, drop or paste an image. SVG source can be pasted as an original vector asset. Imports do not compress originals. Use Copy as SVG in Figma; native Figma clipboard data is not guaranteed to work and does not become editable layers.

Selecting an image opens Image properties. Corner handles preserve proportions; side handles stretch. The lock indicator describes corner behavior. Drag the rotation handle, or hold Shift for 15° steps. Width and height also accept numbers.

Open Crop and drag a region on the original. Reset restores the full image. Rectangle, ellipse, triangle and diamond crops are separate options. Replacement preserves the frame, position, rotation, percentage crop and appearance. Check the subject after replacing an image with a different composition.

Exposure changes linear light intensity; temperature adjusts warmth. Opacity, brightness, contrast, saturation, blur and corner radius remain independent. Stretch fills the frame; Fit can leave space when aspect ratios differ. The original file is unchanged.

Drag a property label, number field or ↔ handle horizontally to adjust it while watching the canvas. Left, middle and right mouse buttons work. Hold Shift for faster changes or Alt for finer movement. Click a number to type; Enter or blur commits, and Esc cancels. While editing text, left-drag selects text; use the ↔ handle to adjust the value.

When Edge grants pointer lock, dragging continues beyond the window edge and the page cursor wraps around. Release to finish, or press Esc to restore the starting value. If the browser refuses pointer lock, a notice explains that dragging is limited to the window.

Select an image and a closed basic shape, then choose Design → Mask image with shape. The shape is hidden and its sampled outline becomes a mask. Removing the mask restores the shape. Masks currently apply to images and do not follow later changes to the hidden shape; arbitrary object-group masks are not supported.

Review → Checks → Resources can create a compressed copy with an explicit format, maximum dimension and quality. The copy is downloaded separately. Re-encoding may remove metadata, color profiles or animation; it never overwrites the source.
