Presenting and speaker notes
Separate presenter controls from audience content.
Present opens a new presenter tab by default. It shows the slide, notes, timing and media controls. Open audience output for the presentation screen.
The slide overview jumps directly to any page. Long jumps do not simulate a sequence of unrelated mathematical transitions.
Choose laser or spotlight in the top toolbar and move over the current slide. The audience sees the same position. Leaving the slide or changing pages hides the pointer. Turn it off before interacting with media.
Presentation drawing provides a pen, highlighter and whole-stroke eraser, synchronized to the audience. On ending, discard the ink or download transparent SVG files grouped by slide. Reinsert an SVG at its original size to keep it in the document; drawing does not automatically change the source deck.
Audience output containing audible media starts with a white sound-preparation screen. Enable sound to enter; media stays under presenter control. Pressing Next during a transition finishes that transition and stays on its destination rather than skipping it.
When ending a presentation with ink, download the SVG archive first, check that the file arrived, then select End presentation. Starting a download keeps the tab open so the browser can finish saving the file.
Write speaker notes below the editing canvas. Notes remain in the Markdown document and appear only in the presenter console.
The timer shows tenths of a second and starts on the first navigation or media action; it can also be started manually. A slide budget can be set beside the notes editor. Each visit starts its own elapsed counter while total time continues. Blue progress fills the budget; a red line grows over it after the budget is exceeded. Pause freezes both counters. Reset clears the current timing session.
Black screen hides audience content while retaining the presenter view. Projection checks and obstruction guides help prepare the venue.
Selecting a display explicitly requests the browser's multi-screen capability and opens a positionable window. Default output uses a tab. Window placement and fullscreen still depend on browser and OS permissions.
Presenting uses a snapshot. Subsequent editor changes do not automatically replace the running presentation.
Use the dropdown beside Present to start from the beginning or current slide, use explicit slide timings, or loop. The presenter shows the advance countdown and a pause control. Pending click animations prevent automatic advance from skipping those steps.
If the last click arrives after the countdown expires, its animation and dependent with/after-previous effects finish before automatic advance. The presenter shows that it is waiting. Once the click steps have been triggered, manual Next can advance early. Other automatic effects keep the authored timing; see object animations.
After closing, choose Resume previous presentation to restore the slide, elapsed time and media positions. Timed advance and media remain paused until explicitly continued. Resume requires a matching document and attachments. Up to five sessions are retained for 24 hours; clearing browser data removes local recovery records. A new presentation starts independently.
